Sovan Lal Saha graduated from two of Calcutta’s most prestigious institutions, St.Xaviers’ Collegiate School, Calcutta and St.Xaviers’ College, Calcutta. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Was articled with the firm of M/s Ray & Ray, Calcutta. He however choose to join his Family Music Business – HINDUSTHAN MUSICAL PRODUCTS LTD. in June 1970. He set up The Indian Record Mfg.Co.Ltd. (INRECO) in August 1976 and has been associated with these Companies since. Apart form running his business, he has been active on issues relating to the Music Industry, bringing together experience from the era of 78 rpm records to current technology of downloads and ringtones. He was invited to visit the U.S.A as an International Visitor in 1989 and interacted with the Music Industry there on issues of Copyright and related matters. |
